that's actually pretty common in shelter. When a house cat is put into a cage like that they get pissed and when a cat gets angry they have to calm down on their own...the more you fight them ...the more they will fight back. That's why at a clinic they are immediately muzzeled before taking them out for surgery to get the iv started and the pre meds. We actually fear a pissed off cat then a pit bull. dogs will relax after a while...the cat will seek revenge!
