Save the Rainforest!

Earth's storied rain forests are threatened like never before. Today, our strong commitment is needed to save this treasure chest of fresh water and clean air. Rain forests are the bread basket of exotic fruits, spices, and savory things found nowhere else on earth...nature's own pharmacy of unmatched variety and healing, including neart 70% of all plants known to fight cancer...and the cradle of civilizations that have long called the rain forest home. But skyrocketing demands for its bounty are shrinking this delicate ecosytem which today covers only 2% of the planet's surface. If it contains so many things we need, why cut it down for houses?

Midnight Whispers

Midnight Whispers

I stood in the doorway entranced
Evoking the melody of a little girl's midnight whispers.
As I watched the dandelions dance in the howling wind
I could hear the rain orchestrating a familiar tune upon the
Roof.
Signs of her fleeting life encompassed me throughout the house
While her illuminating eyes and smile haunted my memory.
Etched in the corner of my mind, her body convulsed like a fish
From water.
I wanted to cure her from the sickness that held her tiny frame
Captive
But healing was not a gift that I could bestow on her.
Her body grew cold and still as she lay in my arms.
And as I gazed into the windows of her soul
I knew in my heart that she was no longer with me in this world
For it was this night the angels ascended with her spirit to
Heaven.
Though she is no longer with me, the memory of her will live on
In my heart
As I remember the sound of a little girl's midnight whispers.

I didn't write this...I just found it.

??

Have I ever mentioned that life sucks? Well, it does.

Expecially for sharks.

I'm not the kind of person to make a big deal out of this kinda stuff, but this is different.

Did you know that sharks kill 75-100 people a year?

Alot, right?

But did you know that people kill about 100,000,000 sharks a year?

Why should we be the one's scared of sharks?

Brendon Urie

The youngest of five children, Urie was raised in The Church of the Latter Day Saints, though bandmate Ryan Ross says that Urie is no longer "the good Mormon boy we once knew".[3] Urie attended Palo Verde High School, located in the unincorporated community of Summerlin, Las Vegas, Nevada. He joined Panic! during his senior year of high school.

It was at Palo Verde High School in his guitar class that Urie met Brent Wilson. Wilson had asked Urie to try out as guitarist for Panic! as they were looking for a replacement at the time.[4]

Originally, Urie was not the band's lead singer. Rather, the position had belonged to current guitarist and lyricist, Ryan Ross. However, when the band heard him sing backup during a rehearsal, they were impressed with his vocal abilities and unanimously decided to make him the singer.[5] Urie reportedly put so much time into his band during his senior year of high school that he almost did not graduate.[6]

After graduation, Urie's parents strongly encouraged him to attend college, but against their wishes he chose to pursue his interests in music and helped get Panic! at the Disco off the ground.

Urie was later asked to leave his home by his disapproving parents upon deciding to pursue Panic! At The Disco, and was forced to rent a one room apartment with only his job at a local Smoothie Hut to support him, as well as help pay for the rent of the band's practice space.[7]

After his father saw him at their first major show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Urie's parents started supporting their son.[6] In later months, upon seeing his success, his parents are now very supportive of him and his career.

Ryan Ross!

George Ryan Ross was born August 30, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was raised by his father who was subject to alcoholism and recently passed away. He attended Bishop Gorman High School with his neighborhood friend Spencer Smith, which the two have been good friends since the age of five. They even attended their first concert together at the age of nine and went to see The Backstreet Boys. Spencer Smith admitted that Ryan and himself knew all the dance moves to "Backstreet's Back".

At the age of 12, he asked his parents for a guitar for Christmas of 1998, thus starting his first collaborations with Spencer who was given a drum set. In the first few years, Ryan and Spencer mostly covered Blink-182 songs with Ryan on vocals. Their band was called Pet Salamander at that time. Later on, Spencer recruited school friend Brent Wilson on bass, and they played together in a band called Summerleague Rock. Brendon Urie joined the band, the others heard him singing back-up vocals and unanimously decided that he would be the lead singer.

After the band gained the attention of Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy by posting their purevolume page on his livejournal, they became a signed band and Ryan focused his efforts towards being the bands main lyricist and main guitar player. In addition, he does backup vocals during concerts. However it is rumoured that Ryan will be sharing the role of vocalist with Brendon on their next CD, this is just a rumour as of now. Since Panic! At The Disco's album release in October of 2005 he has gained the attention of many fans, with myspace and dedicated web site fan pages.

Brent Wilson...Formally Panic!, Present JERK!

Former Panic! at the Disco bassist Brent Wilson has had nearly three months to decide exactly what he would do in the wake of his abrupt departure from the band he helped form.

And apparently, he's decided to sue.

On Monday, Wilson and his lawyer began legal proceedings against his former bandmates, mailing Panic! a letter that gave the group 14 days to pay the ousted bassist the royalties he believes he's owed from sales of the band's A Fever You Can't Sweat Out album. If Panic! does not comply within the two-week deadline, Wilson said, he will take the case to court.

"Basically, I want to get what I deserve: my fair percentage from the album," Wilson told MTV News. "We sent them the letter as a way of saying, 'Look, if you decide to give me the money I deserve — as it's written out in the contract we drew up — then, great. If not, well, we're prepared to go to court.' "

While he confirmed the legal action, Wilson declined to tell MTV News the name of his legal representative and said he was amazed that he is already receiving calls for comment on the letter.

"We just started this whole thing, like, three days ago, and honestly, I don't want my lawyer to be flooded with phone calls he wasn't expecting," he said. "But I can promise you that he did send them a letter. We're just preparing for everything that's [occurring] right now, because I want all of this to happen the right way."

A spokesperson for Panic! at the Disco said the band has no comment on the matter, and added that this was the first anyone within the group's camp has heard about Wilson's letter.

Wilson said that after he parted ways with Panic! in May, he took several weeks off to let the whole thing blow over — and even after his former bandmates made accusations that he never played a note of music on Fever, he was still unsure about pursuing legal action against them. But now, Wilson said that enough time has passed, which apparently also means that it's high time for him to refute the band's claims.

"I don't understand why they would say I didn't play on the record," he said. "I was there every day at the studio, and I wrote things and I showed [Panic! frontman] Brendon [Urie] how to play certain sections. We had a contract that said that each member got paid individually, so legally I am due my 25 percent from the record.

"I don't care what people think of Brent Wilson," he continued. "I honestly don't care if my reputation has suffered from what they've said, or will suffer because of this suit. All I care about is the fact that my supposed friends have f---ed me out of what's legally mine."

i got this off of MTV.com, so go there if you want to read more!
